Lomo Saltado is a Peruvian restaurant located in Paterson, New Jersey. There is only metered street parking available and the meters are old ones that only take quarters so keep that in mind if you decide to visit. Upon entering, the first thing I noticed was it seemed very clean. It was a little odd because they had a counter where the register was and a cold case that housed drinks and desserts, but you couldn't really walk up to the counter to place an order because tables were in front of it. Regardless, the waiter/cashier came up to us as soon as we entered and I asked if we could place a to go order. He handed us the menus and we sat at a table to peruse.

Their menus were tablets which was interesting. I noticed the tablet menus had different menu items than their online pickup/delivery menu. Some items were added and some were missing and the prices were different but for the most part it was the same. The menus showed you a cash price and a credit price. There were also pictures accompanying each item which was nice, especially since I don't eat Peruvian food often. You could add what you liked to a wishlist and then the waiter came back to take our order, you don't order through the tablet.
We got the Pescado a lo Macho, Ceviche Mixto, and a glass of Chicha to go. We also ordered a Chocoflan but they were out unfortunately. Seemed like they didn't have any desserts at the moment we were in there. Nevertheless the wait for the food wasn't that long and we were on our way. The food was very good. The Pescado a lo Macho was delicious and came with a large variety of fish to include scallops, squid, octopus, calamari rings, and shrimp. I'm not sure what type of white fish was fried for the main portion of the dish but it was cooked well, albeit the fry was soggy, but I think that was because we got it to go and didn't eat it for about 15 minutes. The rice with the dish was a bit hard, so I thought that could be improved. The ceviche was good as well, not the best we've had, but they did give you a large quantity of fish. The Chicha was pretty classical and less sweet than others I've had, which was enjoyable. Overall the food was very good, the waiter was friendly, and we would definitely go there again.
